She began her career as a professional dancer and soon after discovered her passion for Pilates and fitness.With nearly 20 years of experience in the fitness industry as a certified Pilates instructor, personal trainer and Holistic health and lifestyle coach, she has helped literally thousands of people look and feel their best.

Her specialty is working with highly successful women aka “BUSY BABES” that are gaining weight, dissatisfied with their bodies, RUN DOWN from stress and sick of the “diet roller coaster”.Tracy’s coaching method is unique in that she creates customized programs that create a “livable” strategy for a lifestyle change.

Her clients see amazing results and have a recipe for lasting success…that doesn’t require giving up your fave restaurants or a cocktail!

Tracy is the creator of Total Body Transformation, an online fitness and lifestyle program. She has a YouTube channel with over 100,000 subscribers and 9 Million views.Tracy has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show and many other television and media outlets.Tracy was recently awarded the prestigious award of YouTube’s NextUp creators for 2016.

Q&A

 

What does your morning routine look like? 

I’d love to say that wasn’t the FIRST thing I do… but I do look at my phone. I check my calendar and hop on my social media first thing, check out my group programs posts in Facebook…while still in bed. Once I’m up, I do my morning practice, which includes some meditating, light stretching and writing in my journal. I am always grateful and one of my best tips is to be grateful IN ADVANCE for things that I may not have YET

Are you a morning bird or night owl?

100% Morning Bird. I am toast by 10pm.

What’s your go­-to healthy breakfast?

Most mornings I begin with a vegan protein smoothie. It is a great way for me to get in some greens, protein and a boost of energy.

What is one thing you are insecure about? 

I used to be a SUPER jealous person, which was simply me feeling insecure about myself. I overcame it by creating genuine self love AND by celebrating other women, rather than thinking “If she did it, I can’t” now I think, “Yes! She did it! Now it MUST be possible for me too” if it’s something I want. The more we celebrate each other there is no room for competition.

What is your proudest achievement?  

My happy marriage.

What does a typical day of eating look like for you?

I eat as many veggies as I can, as I see the direct link between what I eat and my energy level. I usually start the day with a smoothie, then lunch is generally at my house as I work from my home. It could be leftovers from dinner or a BIG salad with some protein and I always put kimchi in my salad, for good probiotics and flavor. Dinner is usually out. My husband and I are HUGE foodies! Since we live in NYC it could be anywhere. Some of my favorite restaurants are: Upland, Osteria Morini, Taralucci e Vino or some of our fave sushi. I love fish and eat a lot of it, and wine. I’m Italian. Give me a full bodied, deep red wine and I’m happy.

Can you give us one idea for adding 5 minutes of exercise into your normal day? 

I love HIIT workouts so, any of my HIIT workouts from my YouTube channel would be a go­-to…and YES I do my own workouts! 🙂

It might be:
30 seconds of running in place
30 seconds HIGH knees
30 seconds jumping jacks
30 seconds squat jacks
1 minute parallel squats
1 minute turned out squats
30 second plank with alternating knees crossing body
30 second plank with knees going towards elbows (aka spiderman)

What is your ‘go­-to’ workout when short on time?

I LOVE using my mini­-rebounder! It burns as many calories as running, is easy on your joints and I can watch reality tv (I’m a HUGE Bravo fan!) while I jump. Win/Win!

Who inspires you, and why?

Women that graciously juggle being an entrepreneur and have a loving family. To me, those women are super heroes. A few that come to mind for me are real women I know. My coach Shanda Sumpter, my dear friend Lynn Casey, and all the other amazing mommas out there.

It takes such a level of commitment and strength to be able to truly have it all. It’s not about being “perfect” but being committed. I have witnessed that this MINDSET is the #1 most important piece to living a FULL life of success, family and love.

What’s your biggest piece of advice for someone who’s trying to jump into a healthy lifestyle?

JUST START! It kills me when I see women “some day” their life away. It is really sad.

AND get support. I believe in possibility in people, and I also believe that women are incredibly intelligent. So, if you are struggling to get fit and healthy and haven’t achieved your goals…get the support you need! Because if you could have “figured it out” on your own, you would have by now.

It is NOT a sign of weakness getting support, it is actually a sign of strength. It is making a statement that you VALUE yourself so much that you are willing to stretch out of your comfort zone so that you can grow into your best self.

What does Fit Strong and Sexy mean to you?

Fit Strong and Sexy is feeling confident in your body, loving and valuing yourself by taking good care of yourself. Every woman wants to feel beautiful and confident. When we eat well, move daily and speak kindly to and about ourself, we give a gift to the world. Self care is NOT selfish! Fit Strong and Sexy is your best YOU!
