Spiced Nuts and Seed Mix

This optional night time (or afternoon) snack makes a great creative dessert or finger food for a dinner party. You could even make batches with added gingerbread spice during the holidays to wrap up in a cute bow and add as a healthy treat to a gift!

Just to note, this recipe makes a whopping 10 servings, so be sure to only have one serving and save the rest or share with friends!


  • 3/4 cup of almonds
  • 1/4 cup of walnuts
  • ¼ cup flaxseeds
  • ¼ cup quinoa
  • ¼ cup pepitas
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon


  • First, mix 3/4 cup of almonds and ¼ cup each of walnuts, flaxseeds, quinoa, pepitas, and sunflower seeds.
  • In another bowl, whisk 1 egg white with 1 tablespoon honey (heating the honey in a microwave for 10 seconds first really helps pour it in), 3/4 teaspoons of coarse salt, and 1/8 teaspoon each cayenne, cumin, and cinnamon.
  • Toss with the nut mix.
  • Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet; bake at 325 degrees until dry, flipping occasionally, about 30 minutes.
  • Scrape from pan while cooling, to avoid sticking. Wait until they are cool to break apart into 10 about equal pieces and enjoy one!
