This is not simply a diet or short-term plan, it’s a LIFESTYLE! I loved that there was a different exercise every day. That way, I didn’t know what to expect and my motivation was really huge. So it was easy to stick with for me. Sometimes I had to go a bit slower or do less reps but overall I love those kind of exercises as they challenge my body as much as or even more than a 45 minute run.

What I liked most was that the meal plan was super easy to prepare. I am very lazy when it comes to cooking and I didn’t have to think much about what to eat/prepare etc.

Also, I loved that I just had to click on the video displayed on each day of the plan and the workout video of the day automatically opened in the browser. That way I didn’t have to search for the exercises, which saved tons of time. I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like 🙂

I have more energy and motivation to work out, I no longer feel bloated, I have lost weight and visible body fat and my skin is noticeably brighter and healthier.

Hi Amanda! I wanted to write you to let you know about my body transformation over the past 6 months.

As busy as I am with my work and personal life, I needed motivation and a realistic program that could put me back on track and keep me there long-term. I needed a lifestyle change–not a diet plan. Helen FurnessI purchased your plan just before I knew I was going on holiday to Australia and was panicking about being in swimwear especially in a water park with my kids. I am 42 years old, have 3 boys and live in New Zealand. Most of the foods I was able to buy in NZ as they are natural foods unlike other plans where there are obscure ingredients we don’t have.
I love the way that some of the meals meant you could build it as you wanted which meant I could make meals from leftovers. The cauliflower mash was particularly awesome and my kids enjoyed it too. Sometimes I didn’t follow the plan exactly and occasionally had some refined carbs it says a lot that I still lost weight even when I didn’t stick to it 100%.

I was 174lbs at the start of last year. I lost a bit of weight slowly through the year but your plan helped me heaps and by November last year I was 143lbs.

Your workouts were amazing especially when I was on holiday as I got up early every morning with my timer and worked out as I wrote all your workouts down. I am looking forward to your new plan to help me with my weight loss after the baby is born and am still keeping up with most of the workouts though I don’t do many of the jumping exercises. I love that I can get them over and done with really quickly and then if I have more energy later I can do some more!

Over the past year I have lost 20 pounds. I always thought that you needed hours and hours a week to workout to be fit so I just never made time. The truth is, I do have time! Not hours…. But I can give up even 20-30 minutes and workout out with Amanda everyday and her program proves that! cindySo here’s my official start to the program pic. My usual routine is 20 min elliptical, 10 min total gym then various ARfit workouts from youtube. Today I started day 2 of the program. What I LOVE about her program: they are short, easy to follow, I don’t fall over myself too much (aka provide too much comic relief to my kids) & the fact that she just seems real.
She doesn’t make herself up, she’s just naturally beautiful. She talks to you like a friend and she lets herself make mistakes. She doesn’t edit them out but she handles them completely in stride. She lets you know that she’s not perfect. She doesn’t try to hide herself from you, she’s just her, take her or not. All these combined with the immediate pain “gratification” that it’s working, are motivational and inspirational.

I was in an exercise rut. I wasn’t having any luck with my midsection especially. A friend of mine introduced me to her youtube videos and I was instantly addicted. I do 5 of her youtube workouts 5 days a week on top of my other routine and got results. I’m hoping that on her actual program, I’ll at least get the waist results that I’m hoping for. The youtube videos made an impact on my midsection where I actually wore a bikini to the beach (I live in Italy & they don’t wear sunshirts) & wasn’t completely mortified. It’s been 9 years since I wore a bikini in public. Her routines are so addictive I’ll find myself in front of the tv doing certain moves. So I’m ready to work.

I just wanted to write and thank you for changing my life in soooo many incredible and wonderful ways, they are too numerous to count.

I have been following you and your videos for over a year and a half now, and you have changed my views about working out, health, and fitness. I am a runner, and always thought I needed hours to work out to see a difference in my figure.

I realized after starting to do your videos that it is not about putting in a lot of time to work out, but the quality of what you do. Your videos and workouts not only kick your butt in a short amount of time and make you sweat, but you can feel the difference in your physique after just one session. I never thought pain could be rewarding, but when you finish a video and can barely walk you know what you did was very effective. I love the fact that I can do your videos at home in a short amount of time and don’t need much equipment. I am not a gym person so these work perfectly for me. I am a Pediatrician and work with overweight kids all the time, and getting them healthy is a priority of mine. I wanted to let you know that my husband have had our lives changed thanks to your progra! In terms of weight loss, I lost about 5 pounds and he lost about 10 pounds in the first 2 weeks, but more than that we have gained definition and toned up. Our clothes fit so much better, and the things we had put away we can wear again. I have been doing your workouts for many months, and had gotten into great shape, but then life hit, and I fell off the bandwagon so to speak. I decided I would not let this happen again, and took your plan very seriously. Working out has always been in my routine, but eating healthy has been harder for me.

We studied your recipes and meal plans, and updated our refrigerator and pantry with much healthier options. The meals and smoothies were delicious, as well as the snacks. Some of our favorites were your power omelet, the smoothies, high protein pancakes, and garlicky Kale chips, to name a few. Our new favorite thing is brown rice, who would have thought?! We only used to eat white rice and my husband is Asian, so the thought of brown rice was not very appealing, but it ended up being delicious. We realized that we could still have things we loved, but in a healthier way. You don’t have to go on some crazy diet to lose weight and be skinny, and you do not need many hours in a day to workout. With every workout we did of yours we were drenched in sweat, and feeling the burn.
My husband and I are both physicians and time is of the essence, so this plan was perfect for us. The other thing we changed through your help, was getting up in the morning to exercise, which we now do everyday before work, and it keeps us energized and motivated all day. Our words are not enough for how you have changed our lives and helped us to get back on the right track, and we will continue with this for a lifetime. After doing your workouts for about 3 months now, I wanted to share my story with you as your workouts have played a very important part in my continued rehabilitation after major surgery at the beginning of last year.
On February 14th, 2011 (yep Valentine Day of all days) after being diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In-Situ) which is early stage breast cancer, I went into surgery for a simple mastectomy with reconstruction using my tummy tissue. I was never a very big person, only weighing 53kgs at the time. I only just had enough tummy tissue for the reconstruction, so I was very fortunate.

Prior to my diagnosis and surgery I was running approximately 3km, a few times a week, however I was finding it harder and harder to stay motivated at this exercise and I was losing interest. After my surgery I was in hospital for one week and it was the hardest week of my life!! I was determined though, to make a full recovery and with the support of my husband of 20 years, and 4 children, I slowly got stronger and stronger with each passing week. 

When I came home from hospital, it took all of my energy just to make it to the bathroom and back. I could not stand up in the shower and I could not wash or brush my own hair (as my right arm was weakened from the surgery) and I could not stand for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. My husband had to do everything – even cook!!!! The energy that my body used for healing itself was unbelievable!!! The hospital gave me physio exercises to do, and I was encouraged to walk for a few minutes each day, gradually increasing the distance and time walking. I remember when I first made it to the bottom of my street and back up again. This took about 15 minutes and I was so pleased with myself, but very exhausted!
After 10 weeks of recovery, I was back at work as a Teacher Aide. The first few weeks of work were very tiring, however each week I found myself regaining more and more strength. I was told not to do any vigorous exercise for six months!! This was hard for me, however after 6 months I began to run again. I had put on a little bit of weight and was now about 58kg. The weight did not worry me as much as how unfit I had become. Unfortunately I really struggled to run and the jarring began to hurt my knees, so I had to stop. As the weather warmed up, I decided to do some swimming for exercise. This was the best thing for me, as it was low impact and I really enjoyed getting into the pool during our hot summer. After 3 months of regular swimming, my leg muscles were stronger and I was able to get back into running again, but this time I was not enjoying it, and really wanted to do something more.

This was when I began surfing the web for some cardio exercises and discovered YOU! Watching your workouts and seeing how much FUN they looked really inspired me to try something different. I also wanted something that would help me to become even fitter and stronger than before my surgery. I had a new appreciation for life and wanted to do something to really improve my whole fitness. My husband regularly goes running and works out on a home gym, so he has been very encouraging, but the home gym has never interested me. I liked the way that your workouts were simple ones, just using your body and loved the encouraging and inspiring way you delivered them.

You have made it SO easy to believe that I can achieve great fitness, spending only a small amount of time a few times a week! I am already noticing changes in my body and am a lot stronger than when I first started out. For example, when I first tried the “15 Minute Cardio” workout I was only able to complete it twice in 15 minutes (and I was struggling). Yesterday I completed it 4 times in 16 minutes fairly easily – I am so happy with my progress!

My husband and daughter are now doing your workouts with me, and we are having lots of fun together. Thank you so much Amanda.

I’ve been working out consistently for a number of years and my husband is actually an elite runner having competed at the Olympic Trials twice, so I’m no stranger to fitness. In May 2012, I discovered Amanda Russell on YouTube. I signed up for her 5 Day Summer Shape Up plan. Since that time, I have been mixing in her workouts several times a week. Last spring I began training for a Tough Mudder race and needed to start Strength training and conditioning. Amanda Russell’s YouTube workouts helped me the entire way.

Right now, I’m probably the strongest and fittest that I have ever been and a lot of that can be attributed to Amanda Russell Fitness! Thanks Amanda for keeping me engaged in fitness, opening my eyes to things like Chia seeds and Greek yogurt, and for continuing to motivate me to try new workouts!
