Do you ever look in the mirror and wish you could just trim a few inches from your waist? Tighten up those abs? Slim down your thighs?
Ever see a ‘Barbie doll’ version of a person gracefully running by you, glistening in ‘the pretty kind of sweat’, and feel a little pang of envy?
EVER LET NEGATIVE THOUGHTS CREEP INTO YOUR HEAD, AND POSSIBLY EVEN RUIN YOUR DAY?

We are naturally programmed to be hard on ourselves; it’s in the way we are raised. Just think about it: Even as children we are taught that winning means success, and losing means ‘failure’ and inadequacy.
This is something that fascinates me: WHAT IS IT THAT MAKES SOME PEOPLE BE HAPPIER, MORE SUCCESSFUL, MORE RESILIENT?
The most successful happy people I meet experience just as many failures, if not more, than any of us….The difference?
They embrace failure as opportunities to grow.
You see, AVOIDING FAILURE ONLY HOLDS YOU BACK FROM REALIZING YOUR FULL POTENTIAL.
If you fear trying a new fitness regimen or ‘eating healthier’ because you’re afraid you won’t stick to it, you’ve already failed!
FAILURE IS LIFE’S GREATEST TEACHER
Once you embrace failure in a healthy way, you no longer fear it, and you are no longer held back!
This is WHY I wrote this today. Because I have failed many times, on many levels, and although hindsight is 20/20, the best lessons, biggest accomplishments and greatest inspiration have come BECAUSE of these failures.
Fitness is a constant daily reminder of this, and I believe it is my purpose to share with you, what has personally helped me and so many others around the world.
In fact, I believe fitness is the best metaphor for life. You push on, you keep going, and you get back up, when you get the wind knocked out of you.
